General FAQ
How do I setup my invoice to make CIS deductions (Construction Industry Scheme)
This is for UK businesses who work in the construction industry and need to make CIS deductions.
Please follow these steps;
- Open the Notes program on your iPhone and type "-20" (Without the quotes of course)
- Tap on the text you just wrote then tap Select All then Copy.
- Open Invoice2go and go to the Setting tab.
- Tap on "Tax Type" and set it to Two Taxes
- Then tap on the Tax 2 field under Taxes in the Setting tab which has just appeared.
- Clear the Rate (%) field, then tap on it to see the Paste option, tap Paste and the "-20" value should be copied in.
- Change the Abbreviation to "CIS"
You can now deduct the CIS from the labour potion of your invoices. Just make sure that when you are adding items to the invoice the CIS tax is turned on for labour items and off for materials.
