How do I move my data over from the Lite Version?

If you have just purchased the Paid version of Invoice2go on the iPhone and you want to move your Invoice2go Lite database to the Paid app then please do the following steps.

  1. Open up Invoice2go Lite then go to the Settings tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Backup"

  2. An email screen will open with your database backup attached. Send the email to your Desktop computer email address.

  3. Go to your desktop computer open the backup email you just sent yourself and save the attachment (Invoice2go .SQLite backup file) to your Desktop.

  4. On your iPhone or iPad close Invoice2go Lite and then open Invoice2go (Paid Version)

  5. Go to the Settings tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Restore".

  6. Wait for Invoice2go to get a valid address on your network. The address to your iPhone or iPad will be different to the address in the screenshot below

  7. Open your web browser on your computer and enter in the address exactly as it appears. Your computer will need to be on the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone or iPad. Click Browse to locate the backup file. A valid Invoice2go backup file will have the .SQLite file extension. When you find your backup on your computer click the Upload button.

  8. Your backup database will be uploaded to Invoice2go and the File Upload screen will appear. Tap Overwrite to restore the backup database. This will overwrite any existing invoices and documents in Invoice2go.

  9. Tap Close Invoice2go and then reopen the Paid App to use your restored documents.

This process will restore the Invoice2go Lite database to your Invoice2go Paid app. Everything you have created in the Lite version will be available in the Paid version. This includes all your settings, documents (invoices, estimates, etc) and Products List.

Note: If you have added a custom logo then you will need to set this up again. This is the only thing you have to redo. The logo file does not get moved across with the data and settings.

This process also works for the transferring the files from the iPhone to the iPad.
