How do I get Invoice2go for my iPhone or iPad?

It's very easy to get Invoice2go for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Just follow these 3 easy steps.

Step One: Just open the following links on your device to be taken straight to the App Store listing, or search for "Invoice2go" on the App Store on your device or iTunes..

Step Two: Click the Buy Now button and Invoice2go will download and install Invoice2go onto your device.

How do I login to my Cloud2go Account?

Invoice2go makes it easy to sync the documents you create to another iPhone, iPad or computer. So easy in fact you won't even know it's happening.

You will need to have already created a Cloud2go account to login. Steps to add Cloud2go to an existing company can be followed here.

How do I login to my existing Cloud2go account from a new install of Invoice2go?

Step 1: Start Invoice2go and the Welcome to Invoice2go screen will appear. Tap the Login & Sync with Cloud2go button.

Step 2: Enter your Cloud2go email address and password and tap 'Go'.

Step 3: Select your Cloud2go account from the list of accounts (only if you have multiple Cloud2go accounts).

Step 4: Cloud2go will download your documents and settings to your device. When completed you can use your Cloud2go account.

How do I login to a Cloud2go account if I have already added company to Invoice2go?

If you already have an existing company in Invoice2go and you want to add a Cloud2go account just do these 3 steps.

Step 1: Open Invoice2go and go to the "New" tab. Tap the Manage Companies button. It is beside your company name at the top of the screen.

Step 2: A list of existing companies will appear. Tap "Add Company" and confirm to restart Invoice2go.

Step 3: Re-open Invoice2go and the Setup New Company screen will appear. Tap Login & Sync.

Step 4: Enter your Cloud2go email address and password and tap 'Go'.

Now whenever you make changes they will Sync to all of your devices.

The iPhone and iPad versions will Sync when you open the App and everytime you edit your documents, products and contacts. You can disable Automatic Sync from the Settings -> Cloud2go options menu. Turn the "Save Automatically" option to OFF.

You can manually Sync anytime by swiping down in the Folders, Products or Clients tabs.

How do I mark an invoice as paid?

Open the invoice and scroll to the Paid field. It will have a small Grey > beside it.

Once selected, a new screen will appear allowing you to enter payment details. Turn the Fully Paid option to 'On' and tap Save.

Fully paid invoices are automatically moved to the paid folder. You can also watch the learning video on our home page to see an example.

How do I reset the Invoice Number?

It's very easy to enter a manual Invoice number, just do the following steps.

Open an invoice then tap on the Date Header just under the Actions button. Or tap the blue arrow just under the Actions Menu.

This will take you to the Invoice Details Screen where you can manually change the Invoice Number.

After the changing the number it will ask you if you want to start counting from this number just tap Yes and the next invoice will be the next increment of the number you entered.

This same procedure works with estimates, purchases orders and credit memos.

How do I turn an estimate into an invoice?

To convert an estimate to an invoice on your device please do the following steps:

  • Open Invoice2go
  • Tap Folders > Estimate
  • Select the estimate you wish to convert.
  • Tap Actions > Copy > Invoice.

Just tap the Copy button to change your documents

Select the document type to convert to, Invoice, Estimate, Purchase Order or Credit Memo

This will create a new invoice containing the information of your estimate. It can also be used to create a new invoice from an old invoice if you want to produce an invoice similar to one you have done in the past. A great time saver.

Can I print invoices from my iPhone?

Yes you can print directly from Invoice2go now that Apple have built AirPrint into the latest version of iOS.

Open Invoice2go > open a document > tap the actions icon > then Print > select your printer > then tap Print to wirelessly AirPrint your document.

What you will need:

  1. iPhone 3GS or newer / iPad / iPod Touch 3rd Gen or later updated to iOS 4.2 or later.
  2. The latest version 4.0 or newer of Invoice2go for the iPhone or the iPad, available from the App Store.
  3. A Wireless Network.
  4. AirPrint enabled printer. See the list of approved printers here

If you don't have a compatible AirPrint printer you can still use the old fashioned way of emailing the document to your computer and then printing it.

How do I backup my data?

Go to the Settings tab then scroll to the bottom of the list and under the Database section tap Backup.

Send the Backup to your own email address, and then save this backup file to your desktop computer.

How do I restore my data?

Go to the Settings tab then scroll to the bottom of the window and tap Restore. You will need a backup created with Invoice2go for iPhone or iPad. Steps to create a backup are here.

Wait for Invoice2go to get a valid address on your network. The address to your iPhone or iPad will be different to the address in the screenshot below

Open your web browser on your computer and enter in the address exactly as it appears. Your computer will need to be on the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone or iPad. Click Browse to locate the backup file. A valid Invoice2go backup file will have the .SQLite file extension. When you find your backup on your computer click the Upload button.

Your backup database will be uploaded to Invoice2go and the File Upload screen will appear. Tap Overwrite to restore the backup database. This will overwrite any existing invoices and documents in Invoice2go.

Tap Close Invoice2go and then reopen the App to use your restored documents.

How do I customize my Invoice or other documents?

Invoice2go provides a wide range of customize options in the Settings tab. This includes picking a document style, adding and positioning a logo, changing column layouts, adding and removing sections on the invoice and many more options...

If however you need to do something very specific to your invoice for your company then you can upload a custom Invoice or estimate to your iPhone. Go to the Settings tab and tap "Upload Custom Style" then follow the instructions.
